It comes pretty late on but I’ve got to put this as one of my favourite edits of the year. The Hog Squad
includes the likes of Sam Hanson, Mike Schmitt, Chris Clappe, Colin Foster and Torey Thornton, and there
are a fair few solid little parts in here to get juiced off, nicely put together too. Good stuff from the Balhogs

This video is incredible. The biggest dirt jumps to date on a bmx by the ‘king of dirt’ Dane Searls. Two days after
the record breaking jumps Dane had an accident putting him in a coma for 5 days, before he passed away on
November 25th 2011. Such a shame to have lost such an incredible rider and wholly terrible loss of life. R.I.P.
I feel like I’m comparatively out of the loop of the whole fixed gear tricks thing, I mean I haven’t been able to
ride properly since February and I’ve got months more physiotherapy to go, so it’s sometimes kind of difficult
to watch too many videos of people really going in, it’s frustrating in a way. Anyway I’ve put myself aside and
I’ve got a lot of pretty cool videos from around the world, a little pre-christmas selection for you of recent & good

Some good tricks in this edit from Sammy over in Thailand. To be honest, a lot of it wasn’t that interesting
to me but it’s accomplished nonetheless. Thought some of you might get stoked off it
Pretty cool short film I checked over at ZLOG. I’m not sure if we have anything like the day laborers that
exist in America over here but we’re obviously conscious of it, and this short makes a really interesting
little play on that culture. Obviously fun to watch at the same time, I’m feeling it
it’s cool to see kids getting super into fixed gear riding, and at 14, Tyler’s pretty young for a guy of his
abilities on a bike. 180 bars down small sets and stuff, he’s doing it
Jakob Santos goes inner in this edit, some bits are a little slow but there’s plenty in here. yuup
I kind of don’t want to post these two together because even though I’m really feeling this San Jose ‘Not
So Winter Jam’ (jelly) with Mike Schmitt, Matt Montoya and others, the Defgrip ‘Rebel Jam’ is on another
level, some über x-games shit. Whatever, they’re both jams, and they’re both here. Mike Schmitt’s ledge
at the end is insanity, real interesting, and there’s enough in the BMX edit to get you pumped for months.
The guy at 2:29 is on some video game vibe, unbelievable
Some people might say that the whole fixed gear tricks thing is slowing down a little (which isn’t a bad thing I
think) with a lot of people reaching the same level of riding, doing the same tricks, with every other edit full of
feeble hop-bars and yucky flat 180s… but it’s riding like Torey’s and Tom’s in this Loose Nuts Tour promo
video that gets me stoked – big gaps, weird stuff, sick shit. Kareem’s nose pivot fakie grind thing was kinda
insane too. Stoked on this, looking forward to seeing more from the tour!
Another cool video from TCB Courier, this time on their half man half hulk (lower half obviously, look at those
legs dude, wtf) Trevor. Seems like a pretty intense guy, a cool watch

This video from Mike Schmitt with WRAHW is insane. Kinda hard to watch a bruh destroying himself, super sick
though at the same time. That last spot looks epic, I hope that gets done at some point… damn, son
rad video from Grime Bikes with insane riding from Oscar, Wonka, Santos and more. Oscar’s 20 stair gap at the
beginning freaked me out when it was put out as a teaser screenshot the other week, it’s even more incredible
in the video. Oscar went so hard! Everyone send him healing vibes please
