Merry Christmas
Saturday, December 24th, 2011So festive right now. Well it’s been great, I mean this year’s been a bit weird for us here so far, having moved
out of our shop space and operating on more d-lo movements, but the new year is looking up. We’ve released
new framesets, been involved in various awesome projects such as the Africa polo bikes, had an amazing time
at Eurobike (I’ve still got all my photos to put out) and generally just been bowssin’ it up. Hopefully we’ll have a
proper new space for people to come and chill at within the next couple of months and I’ll be sure to keep you
all updated on that
Whilst this is it for me for the festive period (I might take off a few days if that’s not too unreasonable) the action
doesn’t stop for us online, there are going to be a hot few ridiculous christmas deals and events on the
14bikeco facebook page, be sure to check it out before you miss out – I think ‘liking’ will mean that new posts
appear in whatever they call a feed? I’m not exactly an expert. Anyway so keep tabs on that between the mince
pies and copious amounts of christmas cheer, I hope you’ve had a good year and I’ll join you in a little bit.
All the best, Mikey
Introducing: BALHOGS
Saturday, December 24th, 2011It comes pretty late on but I’ve got to put this as one of my favourite edits of the year. The Hog Squad
includes the likes of Sam Hanson, Mike Schmitt, Chris Clappe, Colin Foster and Torey Thornton, and there
are a fair few solid little parts in here to get juiced off, nicely put together too. Good stuff from the Balhogs
nice bag from Archive & Tracko
Saturday, December 24th, 2011I saw this bag over at TrackosaurusRex and I thought it was a bit swish – there are a lot of ugly or at least
boring bags out there, it’s nice to see someone make something that actually looks nice. Didn’t mess
around with the actual bag design either, just slapped a nice bit of Pendleton Wool on the front pocket,
looks good in waxed canvas I reckon. More info on the bag at Tracko – available to buy at the store

Friday, December 23rd, 2011I spoke to Ted the other day about these shirt and they sounded sicka – they’re now available to buy at his site www.tedjamesdesign.com. Rad design by Jacob Knill, giving his goresome take on Ted’s moustached skull and
crossbones logo, I’m down. Now you know

Dane Searls – 60ft dirt
Friday, December 23rd, 2011This video is incredible. The biggest dirt jumps to date on a bmx by the ‘king of dirt’ Dane Searls. Two days after
the record breaking jumps Dane had an accident putting him in a coma for 5 days, before he passed away on
November 25th 2011. Such a shame to have lost such an incredible rider and wholly terrible loss of life. R.I.P.
super trick roundup
Tuesday, December 20th, 2011I feel like I’m comparatively out of the loop of the whole fixed gear tricks thing, I mean I haven’t been able to
ride properly since February and I’ve got months more physiotherapy to go, so it’s sometimes kind of difficult
to watch too many videos of people really going in, it’s frustrating in a way. Anyway I’ve put myself aside and
I’ve got a lot of pretty cool videos from around the world, a little pre-christmas selection for you of recent & good
