Uploaded a few new photographs of ma whip to the tumblr the other day, thought I should let yers have a look.
Current setup includes the new 14bikeco tig-welded track frame, sugino 75s, goltec hubs to rigida dp18 rims,
rolling on continental tyres. Other than that I’ve got a 14bikeco concor saddle, a pink reflector, vans waffle grips
and some pee rust.
The frame, although a pretty substantial change from the ESB setup I had before (R.I.NYC) is really awesome,
super light and responsive and easy to go mad fast on, and it’s also Copper plated, which is pretty radical. I’ll
get some more info on these frames, should pull together a proper press release at some point, but I can tell
you they’re pretty rad and should be surprisingly affordable, I’ve really enjoyed mine so far
Or at least part of it. Some really sick clips in here that got me pretty stoked, definitely wishing I was back on form
and riding right now. Some of the guys in here really make the Fixed Gear trick thing look pretty good, topathagame yo
I saw this up on Jussi’s Fixed Gear Blog and thought it was pretty awesome – having had the pleasure of
using the comprehensive system of Cycle Paths in my trip to Holland this summer I’d wondered how they
came to be. Now I know. London needs more cycle paths
I slipped on posting this the other week, damn. Download the new Fixed Mag online HERE – it’s only 80p and
there are a bunch of great stories, interviews, product reviews and photographs to check out. Don’t miss out!

First up some ʇıɥs ǝʇɐɯıʇln from Wolfdrawn & associates – some very technical and fun riding in here, definitely
one to check out. That monkey business on the stairs near the beginning was awesome
Next up, ‘Bike Bikes’ from Lane Daniels – the video quality is a little weak but some really cool riding in there,
actually interesting!
Finally here’s the trailer for Matt Reyes’ upcoming Fixed Gear Freestyle documentary. Looks like a project with
some sort of vision behind it, pretty radical. WTF
Pedal People is a short documentary that delves into the lives of five different cyclists from Austin Texas. This film
was inspired by why we love riding bikes in all terrain, all weather and all year round. These inspiring stories are
told by a BMX rider, cyclocross racer, hardcourt bike polo player, fixed gear freestyle rider and a professional
bicycle mechanic.
Tells you just about everything you need to know really doesn’t it? I think Chad Treanor did a really good job on this,
an enjoyable and interesting video for your lazy Sunday afternoon.
Fifth Chukker is a Polo & Country Club in Nigeria that is hosting the African Masters Patrons Cup Polo Tournament
in Kaduna, Nigeria. This year, in conjunction with the tournament, Fifth Cukker are hosting an International Bike Polo
Exhibition, supporting Breast Cancer awareness in Nigeria, and we have made 20 14bikeco Polo Bikes which will be
used in and after the Exhibition. Here are some photos of the polo builds we have put together:
The Tournament starts today and John has accompanied 8 riders in traveling to Africa for the event. The players will
be playing exhibition matches and demonstrations, as well as teaching the locals and polo players through workshops.
This will be the first time modern bike polo has been introduced to Africa and we’re really happy to be involved
You might have noticed the big nobbly tyres on these bad boys, and that is due to the fact that they will be playing
field polo as opposed to hardcourt polo, which us urban folks have become accustomed to – should be interesting!
We almost didn’t have enough space in the shop! Everywhere the eye could see..
if you want any more information on the Tournament visit our friends at Fifth Chukker and for the Bike Polo Exhibition
check their flyer/press release flyer. If you want any more information on how to get your own Polo Bike get in touch!
This video is pretty cool from Chan – the highlights from Ladies (majority) Bike Polo Tournament Hell’s Belles which
took place in London on the 15th and 16th of October. Looks like an awesome event which a lot of familiar faces
were in attendance for, I must remember to make it down for next time!
I was stoked to find out that Jacob’s got some of his rad drawings vynilated for your
sticking pleasure. Whether you want to plaster your live whip or your shred stick with
rad stickernesss these are the stickers to do it with. Grab a bunch over at Jacob’s
blog and bigcartel – I’m feeling them
This is sicksicksick from Torey Thornton. I was there for when a couple of these clips were got and the
guy rips with a sicko style, doing tricks that aren’t in every other video people have put out. Serious
sickness and something that I’m fully behind – rad video from Torey for Hold Fast. WRAHW
Next up is this Halloween Bike Check from Nick Ramirez, super fun and some good tricks in there! Spooks
Finally some BMX radness with a funky take on park and street riding from Arik Elstran – mad interesting
