two tight new products

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

we’ve got two new awesome additions to the webshop, first up the Fly Bikes Alta Stem – “Top load potencia version with 2 stack hight options. 23mm high with bolts on top and 6mm inverted (same stack as potencia). 6061-t6 internally and externally CNC machined on the right places to keep strength and very low weight”

and also the Electron USB Backupz Rechargable Lights – “Straight up no fronting we are down with the street-lingo and therefore love everything that replaces the ‘s’ at the end of words with the letter ‘z’ and subsequently we are well into these lights. Additionally they are actually really good because you can hang them off the back of your bag (or ‘Haversack’) meaning that won’t accidentally leave them on your bike (or ‘Whip’) and get them stolen (or ‘Jacked’ as i believe it’s called) in the street (or ‘Hood’). Also you can re-charge them while doing some publicly visible writing on your Mac in your local coffee house, and we all know how quickly time flies when you’re being all creative and whatever, so you can ride your aforementioned ‘Whip’ back to East London in the dead of night in perfect safety… Comes with USB lead to recharge both lights simultaneously”

Both in stock now!

today’s trick roundup

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

first up here’s the ZLOG winter training edit, so dailed! Some technical and styled riding from the Z-boys, I mean WOW

next up here’s Funny’s edit at Minatonomori Park I copped on big-P’s, some of the best flatground skillery I’ve seen on a fixed gear trick bike, pretty dope on the ramps too! skicness, skicness

and finally, here’s a pretty incredible video – “FRAMED” Andi Wittmann’s rider profile, and it’s pretty much an example of what happens when you match incredible scenery, a really accomplished rider and some crazy production values – epic comes to mind..

ebay beauties

Monday, November 29th, 2010

There’s always a bunch of funny stuff on the ‘bay, like this ‘RALEIGH TWENTY SINGLESPEED
/FIXIE PROJECT’
– “GETTING VERY POPULAR WITH COMMUTERS IN LONDON,JUST
FOLD IT UP AND JUMP ON THE TUBE” with BMX wheels, stem and bars so you can even
ride down the escalators in the tube station, rad

That not persuaded you yet? What about a ‘USC FIXY, FIXE, FIXIE, FIXED GEAR‘? tasty

okay okay well may I at least interest you in a ‘Track Fixie Freewheel‘? Fine

This is actually bangbang, Track bike NJS Fixie Carbon – all up for grabs folks

today’s trick roundup

Monday, November 29th, 2010

first up we have some great shots from Brenton Salo of Anthony and ‘Clay’ playing on the
corner – not sure what’s going on in the second one but it’s nice!

photos by Brenton Salo

next up here are two interesting new hubs that are to be put onto the scene, one design
from Sadio working with The Gime featuring 14mm axles and the other and resist parts
(spotted at WOLFDRAWN) coming in with slotted 14mm axles or female bolts – looking
pretty chunky! Is 14mm the way? I’m not sure but it’s an interesting development. Will the
traditional thread/lockring method stay? Again unsure

and finally check these snaps from Keith Teket for B’more Fixed – The FOP. Jealous of that gopro!
