this frame caught me eye hanging up in the workshop, I reckon it’ll look lovely built up!

Basketball by MKM

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

Another hilarious short from the genius of MKM, this time taking on basketball. This had me
properly cracking up, particularly towards the end. Much love to MKM, this is some funny stuff.
Also check out the photos below by HUGEBLOCKS, epic!

today’s trick roundup

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

first up here’s the latest from the Wheel Talk boys, Scum of the Century – these guys are really
pushing themselves and this little evolving ‘sport’ that is fixed gear freestyle/FGT/whatever.
There’s funny, there’s falls, sick fast park riding, dirt action and more. I wanna ride with these guys!

next up here’s Matthew Spencer’s WOLFDRAWN Autumn edit and accompanying photo. Cool
vibe, sweet trickery and some real spot riding! That driveway gap around the minute mark looks
so fun to ride, and I think I’ma have to go out and learn those sliders, they fa ba illa sick

and finally here’s another young gun edit from Gabe & Packy with some funny stuff, stairs, gaps,
hopbars and all that jazz, good riding!

STOLEN: Benny’s ESB

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

I saw the unfortunate news over at the mixtmeat site, both Benny’s and Fi’s bikes were stolen
from Shoreditch High Street last night, despite being triple locked! You may remember Benny’s
purple ESB, check more photos HERE

BFF 2010 Joyride show video

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

purplbrand made a short and sweet video from the recently passed Joyride Art show in conjunction
with the London Bicycle Film Festival and whereas it may not give you a detailed look at every piece
(no motobike!) it does give you a brief insight into how the thang went down, check it. via Champfest

hey little kiddie have a sticker

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

who doesn’t like stickers? We’ve always restocking on these little buggers, and our sticker man
likes to get creative with colourways so sometimes you’ll get something unexpected and really
special. Maybe we’ll make some sticker packs for the webshop? It seems people like ‘em.
Otherwise pick up a couple in store

Seoul got Soul.

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

Here’s the trailer for a short documentary about fixed gear riders living in Seoul, South Korea
from DK Productions. If the documentary is anything like this trailer it should be a real feast for
the eyes, I’m looking forward to this one!

Rob Ford on Cyclists

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

I’m not going to comment on this too much but it’s disheartening to hear this sort of rubbish
from someone in a position of power, I mean this dude is now the mayor-elect of the city of
Toronto, how can he stand there and spout this crap? I’m not going to say anything else
because it’s pissing me off

today’s trick roundup

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

first up check the new Quick One Day Edit from Geometricks featuring Gusse And Felix Dol as
the sweet 6 stair 180 photo below, looking really good! The edit is short and fun, with a good
mix of tricks (I’m feeling the curb slides) making for an enjoyable watch

next up here’s a sweet capture from c’ron for DPHfixed getting nicely tucked. That looks like a
pretty sick spot! We need to find some o’ that stuff over here

www.dphfixed.com

and finally here are some awesome shots from Yohey Hayama having fun in the snow. I’m sort
of dreading this winter, as I was out of riding for pretty much the whole summer (missed out big
time) and now all I’ve got is cold and wet, but at least we might have some snow, that’d be fun

Milltag jersey and frame

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

I’m digging this frame for Milltag designed around the John McFaul Milltag Jersey. This frame
and 9 other custom designed frames are to be shown in the first Bespoke show running over this
weekend at Dray Walk Gallery off Brick Lane. I’ve got hella work this weekend but hopefully I’ll
be able to make it down to the area and check these out, you’ve gotta love bright colours and
smiley faces on bikes

dual drive

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

I was talking to some kids in the skatepark the other day that were getting curious about my bike, asking
questions about general fixed riding, double sided hubs, LHD and all of that stuff and then they all got really
hyped on the idea of getting dual drive fixed gears. I couldn’t say I know the difference it would make to run
a dual drive crank solution but the owner of this dual disaster I saw at Jussi’s Fixed Gear Blog claims theirs
to be “the one and only in the world!!! this makes the frame so stiff and responsive its amazing!” – hmmm
I’m not at all convinced by the dual drive thing but I’d love a go on one to try it out

Early 80s Olmo

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Early 80's Olmo

I saw this road bike beauty over on spokesniffer’s photostream, gumwalls, pantographed parts
and hella sick. Can’t really ask for more, check out more photos HERE

The Foot Down around the shop

Friday, October 29th, 2010

Tyron took some sweet photos from around the shop accompanying some nice words in the
recent post on The Foot Down. ‘I recognised him from ‘the internet’’ ha! There’s not much
better than someone doing your job for you, check out his angle of the shop as well as the
rest of the post HERE
