Road Flare Print by Anthony Cozzi
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010This 2010 print by Anthony Cozzi AKA snow ‘blinded’ has been up around the internet a bit recently but I thought it was sweet, a great follow-up to the popular 2009 ‘Dead Wheelie’ poster, adding a twist to another motif in fixed gear photography – the flare. Screen printed on high quality 100lbs matte paper, limited to 50 signed and numbered – get it while you still can! more info HERE
today's trick roundup
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010I might live to regret this but this batch contains 4 entries. I know, blasphemy
first up we have “skate park day” from Steven Jensen, seen over at ZLOG featuring riding from Steven Jensen, Alex Royal and Kevin Anderson. I was particularly impressed with Alex’s riding, really smooth and flowy, and Steven Jensen destroyed it with tailwhips, lip tricks and grinds to blow minds.

next up we have a super rad photo of Gus Molina spotted over at the WRAHW joint going oververt above the number of the beast. could you get any radder?
finally next a sweet edit from Stevo Marco’s first solo edit. I saw him rip in the latest Fixed Cult edit and I didn’t think I’d seen him before – he goes fast, jumps high and likes doing snappy 180′s off things. tight

and finally the Verde BMX UK trip 2010 seen at thecomeup, with the US and UK teams riding together – Dave Thompson (oh god), Kevin Kiraly and Will Stroud plus all the blighty boys going large

Jason Dill for Supreme F/W 2010 lookbook
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010although with the widespread obsession with Supreme in London’s streetwear scene may have slightly weakened the exclusivity and cool factor that it may once have had over here, Supreme is still one of my favourite companies – a prime example of the power of grass roots and skate culture. Here’s a few of my favourite shots from their Fall/Winter 2010 lookbook as modeled by one of my favoutire skateboarders, NYC supremo Jason Dill. See the rest HERE
Fixed Bergamo: La Garibaldina
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010I first saw this race promo video over at prollyisnotprobably and was very impressed. La Garibaldina is a race being put on by Fixed Bergamo at Via Trento of Italy’s Bergamo on the 25th of September. The prizes look good, but the video is pure excellence in it’s own right, check it out! La Garibaldina

Tyler Johnson photographed by Brenton Salo
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010I saw the first photograph posted up on ZLOG by the man Tyler himself, a hop up a 2ft ledge then hop over the rail clearing the stairs. Totally nutty. Brenton Salo managed to capture this perfectly, as well as a couple of other elegant portrait shots, sweet and oh so slick. props!

Bike Polo Worlds 2010 Berlin
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010I spotted these awesome photos of the recent Bike Polo Worlds 2010 event in Berlin over at Robb Meerten’s flickr photostream, and they’re too special not to post. We see crashes, courts and BAD POLO in action (who placed a very respectable 15th out of the 64 teams competing WOOP WOOP) amongst the hundreds of photo’s in his WHBPC 2010 flickr set. Thanks Robb!

Beijing Fixed Gear Revolution 2
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010I saw some of these photos of the recent Beijing Fixed Gear Revolution 2 event up on FGGT and thought that it looked pretty sweet, with a bunnyhop, trackstand and tricks contest, as well as a show from Ines Brunn who seems to be everywhere at the moment. All the photos were taken by Duncan Leung, and his writeup of the event can be seen HERE
